Eight million people, 355 wildlife species, and only a handful of wildlife rehabilitators to carry the load.

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THEM!

DONATE

Did you know that caring for a wild baby animal from admission until release costs over $200? The cost of housing, energy, medical care, and so much more has sky-rocketed in the last two years, and the price of formula and other rehab necessities has almost doubled. As a network of home-based wildlife rehabilitators, we receive no funding from city, state, or federal agencies and have to shoulder the significant financial burden of rehabbing wildlife on our own. We need your help now more than ever!

Our work is only made possible by donations from kindhearted people like you!

Please support our work with a tax-deductible donation. Every cent will save lives!

WISHLIST

With so many wild patients to care for, we are in constant need of supplies.

We are also always grateful for donations of a wide variety of items that we can put to good use. From fleece fabric, paper towels, and newspaper to medical and pet supplies, you name it, we need it!

Volunteer

If you love wildlife and have a tiny bit of free time, we can put you to work! Every hand is needed!

Do you have a car, like to cook, enjoy arts and crafts, love being active on social media, know about graphic design, or like to teach? We can use any skill or talent you might have.

Just contact us, and we will be happy to tell you all about our current volunteer opportunities.

Join our Rescue Team

Learn how to assess wildlife-related issues on-site, how to conduct a successful rescue or reunion, how to safely handle animals, and how to provide emergency care until the patient can be transferred to a wildlife rehabilitator or facility.

Become a Wildlife Rehabilitator

Have you ever wondered if wildlife rehabilitation might be right for you? In a series of classes, we will teach you everything you need to know to start out as a wildlife rehabilitator – including animal care, patient stabilization, husbandry, nutrition, and medical issues – and prepare you for the New York State licensing exam. Once you have your license, we will help you create the right setup for your wildlife patients and mentor you all the way.
